Our mission is to maximize the magic of sports by removing off-field burdens and administrative headaches.

We grew up on sports fields. What happened on those fields shaped and molded us as much or more than any other space we spent time in, classrooms included. Our closest friends, our mentors, came from The Field. As we look ahead, we see The Field as arguably the most important space for the education and development of the future of humanity. Given our experience as players, coaches, board members, and working professionals, we feel uniquely positioned to help make sure The Field does for today’s and tomorrow’s kids what it did for us. Secondslide is our way to do that.

Secondslide didn’t start as “Secondslide.” It started in 2018 as CLNC Sports (pronounced “clinic”). We knew we wanted to help teams but didn’t know exactly how yet. The business we formed was a convergence of our collective lifestyles at the time. Connor was living in an RV with his dog, Jam, while working remotely as a software product manager at GE. Nick and Brent were roaming the Mountain West coaching small-group clinics on their free weekends in between PLL games, Adam was in the South working cybersecurity by day and coaching lacrosse practice by evening.

We took the obvious first step and bought a camper van (duh). Our goal was to bring world-class coaching and inspiration to budding lacrosse communities across the country, while getting to know first-hand where and how teams were struggling and how we may be able to help down the road. We road tripped the country coaching youth & high school clinics, focusing primarily on areas where lacrosse was still up and coming.

Through our time on the road engaging with lacrosse programs across the country, we noticed common pain points shared across nearly every program we reached. In time, through what we learned on the road and our experience in the business of sports, the concept of Secondslide formed.

We rebranded the business to Secondslide, and aim to be just that for organizations - their second slide (lacrosse fans will understand).

With a team full of current & former players, over a decade of combined fortune 50 business experience, and a shared love for sports, Secondslide aims to change the game when it comes to how team sports organizations are supported.

It’s our view that there’s been very little “serving” going on in this industry for a long time, just a ton of selling. So much so that the industries surrounding The Field (apparel, equipment, etc) sometimes seem to take center stage.

By bringing a servant'-leader mindset to the team sports world, we’ll build a massive network of likeminded individuals, teams and organizations. We’ll channel that collective energy and purchasing power in a way that shifts the leverage away from the middlemen (we’re looking at you, retailers) and towards the whole reason we’re here…The Field.

Team-Up to Strengthen Youth & High School Sports

We all love youth sports and the educational experience they provide to kids. With Secondslide, there’s now a way for us to join forces for the betterment of the youth sports experience.

By channeling our collective purchasing power, Secondslide shifts the leverage away from middlemen and into the hands of coaches, program leaders & parents, resulting in thousands of dollars in profits and savings for your program every year.

As more Corner Stores pop up across the world, our collective leverage increases. That means more team profits, more savings, lower registration costs…more youth sports.
